From Hanoi, tourists can take a bus to Cai Rong Town, Van Don District. From there, Co To Island is just a two-hour high-speed boat trip away. The boat travels across Bai Tu Long Bay with its mountainous scenery, like hundreds of baby dragons sleeping on a giant green carpet.

A statue of Uncle Ho and the Memorial House are the two most noteworthy sites on the island. Co To lighthouse, known as the ‘roof of the pearl island’, is also an attractive place for visitors. After climbing up 72 stairs, visitors can take in a panoramic view of the island from the top of the lighthouse.
